Do you have a family legal matter you need help with? Are you unhappy in your marriage, but don’t know what to do next? Do you feel like you are not getting the child support that you need? Or are you having problems with a criminal matter? Have you recently been pulled over for a traffic ticket? Have you been arrested for a DWI/DUI?
I can help.
Serving Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the surrounding area, I do all types of family law including divorces, alimony, custody, and equitable distribution. I also handle misdemeanor, criminal, and traffic matters, including DWI/DUI.
Here are the legal services I offer:
Contested and uncontested divorces, Child custody, Alimony and post-separation support, DWI/DUI defense, Traffic citations (Including speeding tickets, driving without a license, driving while license revoked), Domestic Violence Protective Order (DVPO), Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS)
I care for my clients and will tailor my legal services to your situation so that you will get the attention to detail that you need to achieve the best results. Not knowing your next steps can add to the stress of the situation, so I want to do all that I can to help from a legal perspective.
I’m bilingual, so I can do consultations in either English or Spanish. If I can’t help you with your matter, I have good working relationships with other attorneys to whom I can refer you.
Note that this is not a substitute for seeking legal advice, and is in no way comprehensive. Every case is different and the solution can vary dramatically based on the details of your situation. This is meant to put these points into layman’s terms to start your learning process about your issue.
Born in Colombia, I immigrated to the US when I was 5 years old. I am a naturalized citizen and still have family members abroad, so I understand how immigration matters can make complicated situations even more complicated than just needing to understand the language while working through it.
I served in the U.S. Army and received my undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I then graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and am licensed to practice law in North Carolina. I have experience in family, traffic, and criminal law and am well connected with others in the legal community to either refer cases or work with others for matters that I don’t specialize in. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have worked with many clients from different Spanish-speaking countries.
I’m a member in good standing of the NC State Bar and I am a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ), the Tenth Judicial District Bar, the Wake County Bar Association (WCBA), and the American Bar Association (ABA).
